Course Outline

This one-day interprofessional course brings together a group of learners without expert knowledge around mental health and focuses on upskilling them in identification of staff who need support in terms of their mental health and wellbeing and what can be done to help them.

The course will focus on common mental disorders including depression and anxiety and links with workplace stress. Other issues such as alcohol and substance misuse will also be addressed.  This course is suitable for a range of professionals without prior knowledge or expertise in mental health such as HR staff, those who manage or supervise others as well as those in more senior managerial positions. The exact setting or focus of the workplace can be easily tailored to fit a very wide range of organisations.
